THE HOST

Stephanie Meyer is one of the greatest writers right now. All of her books make you read and read and never want to stop. Right now I am reading The Host, and even though some people say that boys don't read this kind of books, you should really read it, it is really good. There is a lot of things into this book, but it is an easy reading type of book, that is good for most levels of reading. The main plot of this book it that aliens, who call themselves 'souls', are taking over Earth; but since they are souls they need to use humans' bodies. After the souls take over Earth there are only three humans left, Melanie, Jared and Jamie and a seeker – they are the people who have to find all the humans and take them to the healers to kill them – found Melanie. Melanie became the host – this is how they call humans whose bodies are given to one of the souls – of a soul named Wanderer and Wanderer’s job was to find out if Melanie knew of any other humans that were still alive. When a soul was inserted into a host, they could search into the host’s mind for memories and other things, but if the host was strong enough he or she could block the soul from searching through their minds, and this is what Melanie did to Wanderer. They began to sympathize for each other, but other souls were counting on Wanderer to find out where the other two humans were. Melanie did not want to sacrifice her secret and tell wanderer the place where Jamie and Jared were located, but since they started to be friends, Wanderer didn’t care about that anymore…if you want to know the end…read the book, it is really good.
