Anonymous Truth

Dr. Beatrice Sparks discovered the truth behind the lives of two teenagers; Alice and Jay. The journals that both left behind were found, edited and published by Dr. Beatrice, these two stories are both true. Go Ask Alice was the first to be published and it is about the life of a teenage girl who has many problems with drugs and tries many different ways to stop it, (including leaving home) but nothing she does works since she is trying alone. Jay’s Journal was published after Go Ask Alice became a success, but the difference was that Jay’s mom sent Dr. Beatrice her son’s diary which she had found. Although Jay had some minor problems with drugs, he was able to stop it by himself and move on; his biggest problem was that while moving on with drugs, he got involved with the occult, and this did no good to him. Both of these stories are very tragic stories, but these journals were published with the intention of showing to teenagers what drugs and all of these other bad things can do to you. I recommend both of these books, and although they both might have some very strong content, since the teenagers are the ones writing about themselves, the information given stays more in our mind.
